Burbank, California. “The ponies won it for me,” said Colorado trainer Molly Rinedollar. “ I really have to thank Kelsey and Madeline Thatcher and all of our ponies for getting me the points that I needed to win this trip.” Rhinedollar is one of three professionals who won the Langer Equestrian Group sponsored trip to Maui. “As a life long professional horseman and someone who regularly took 40-50 horses and clients to shows, I know how hard professionals work,” stated Larry Langer, President and CEO of Langer Equestrian Group. “I wanted to provide an incentive and recognition for the professionals who support our LEG shows in Los Angeles (CA), Woodside (CA), and Colorado.”
Molly Rhinedollar shows in Colorado and this year she was the winner of Langer Equestrian Group’s Colorado Incentive Program, which rewarded her with a week long stay at the beautiful Maui Marriott Ocean Resort on Ka’anapali Beach. “My clients are almost as excited as I am,” laughed Rhinedollar. “They are now giving me lists of things I have to do there.” Number one her to-do list is para-sailing. “I think this award is a really awesome thing,” stated Rhinedollar. “I know that Tracye Ferguson and I were really close in terms on points, but I was trying not to think about it. My clients were keeping track of the points for me.”
Rhinedollar also hopes to enjoy whale-watching and snorkeling while in Maui, and possibly even some guided-tour horseback riding. Several friends will be accompanying her, assistant Mary Sayre among them. “It will be a really nice way to relax, and it’s just a great way to end the year.”
For the third year in a row, Leslie Nelson won the Woodside Hunter Incentive award. “I am absolutely thrilled to be going again,” said Nelson who will be accompanied by her husband and their eighteen month old son, Noah. Nelson credits her clients, like Mary Sances, Cindy McGuire and Crystal Johnson for their support. “A trip like this is just amazing. We really like showing at Woodside and the Hunter Incentive program is just the icing on the cake.”
Dan Silverstone was the winner of the Los Angeles based trip to Maui when he captained the winning Professional-Junior-Amateur Equitation Team at the 2006 Memorial Day Classic. “Last year we were so close to winning,” said Silverstone of his 2005 team. “This year we had to work off the top two teams and it is really exciting to win. A trip to Maui is just incredible. By the time we get to December we’ll need the break,” he added with a laugh.
