Dressage Canada Announces the 2007-2008 Board of Directors

Ottawa, Ontario – Election results are in for the 2007-2008 Dressage Canada Board of Directors. The Dressage Canada Nominations Committee received one nominee for the two open positions on the Dressage Canada Board.

As an election was not required, the sole candidate was acclaimed. Dressage Canada welcomes Judith Pineault of Yarker, ON to the 2007-2008 Board of Directors.

Pineault is an active member of the Quinte-St. Lawrence Branch (QSLB) Cadora and has served as a show organizer, director, newsletter editor and president as well as being a current Equine Canada B dressage judge. Having ridden since childhood, Pineault has competed in eventing as well as dressage. Her business career includes involvement with numerous steering committees, including ISO 9002 implementations, restructuring and re-engineering committees.

“I am very pleased to accept a position on the Dressage Canada Board,” said Pineault. “I recognize the huge responsibility and challenge and will be seeking support from the existing board, in order to get up to speed and productive quickly.”

The 2007/2008 Dressage Canada Board of Directors are:

Lisa Kostandoff (2006-2008)

Judith Pineault (2007- tbd)

Elizabeth McMullen (2005-2008)

Evi Strasser (Athlete representative)

Cara Whitham (2006-2009)

Dressage Canada is governed by a Board of five persons, elected-at-large by its membership. Elections are held on a yearly basis.
