LAKE PLACID, NEW YORK—January 23, 2007—The Lake Placid Horse Show Association has assumed responsibility for management of the 2007 Fall Quarter Horse Schooling Show.
The event, scheduled for August 30 – September 2, will be held as always at the North Elba Showgrounds in Lake Placid, site of two off the nation’s biggest Hunter-Jumper horse shows, the annual Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows.
As part of an agreement with show manager Linda Connors, Lake Placid Horse Show Association Chairman Richard M. Feldman will take over the reins of the Quarter Horse show assisted by the Association’s Executive Director, Lori Martin.
The change of management has been in the works for several years and it’s now official. “This is great news for Lake Placid’s local horse show community,” Feldman said. “We are already planning many improvements and additions to the show that will be announced as plans take shape.
“One of the additions that is ready to announce immediately is that the show will host the finals of two new New York State Horse Council events: a $500 Open Working Hunter over Fences class and a $500 Open Working Hunter Under Saddle class.”
More information on these new events can be found on line at www.nyshc.org.
Please be sure to reserve on your 2007 show calendar the dates of Thursday, August 30 through Sunday, September 2 for the Fall Quarter Horse Schooling Show as a “must participate” event.
