Jill Henselwood and Black Ice won last year’s $150,000 Grand Prix of the Desert. She is certainly having a wonderful stay in the desert thus far, placing in the top six in all but one Grand Prix, including a first place finish in the $75,000 Footing Authority™ Grand Prix.
Henselwood looks to remain the hottest rider on the Circuit on Friday, February 23, in the $30,000 Ariat Grand prix.
What’s On Tap For The Second Half?
Three consecutive weeks of world-class show jumping return to HITS Thermal on Tuesday, February 20. The $30,000 Ariat Grand Prix is featured each Friday and on Sunday, February 25 and Sunday, March 4, the $75,000 Footing Authority™ Grand Prix comes back to the HITS Desert Circuit. The six-week circuit concludes March 11 with the $150,000 Grand Prix of the Desert, presented by Cessna Aircraft Corporation.
March 11 is also the second Kids Day at HITS Thermal. Kids Day runs from 11 am until 1 pm and children of all ages will be treated to activities such as pony rides and face painting.
