Stellar European Weekend for US Dressage Riders

Lexington, KY − Riding the wave of the US show jumpers success last weekend on the European continent, some up and coming dressage riders stepped up onto the world stage very impressively at the CDI**** Balve June 7-10 in Germany.

Casey Dornan and 8-year-old Le Carmeur made their international debut a valiant one, finishing runner-up in the Prix St. George. The pair scored 70.5% in the class, their first on international soil. They were also runners-up in the Intermediaire I test, breaking the 70% barrier again.

In the Grand Prix at Balve, Heather Blitz and Otto put in one of their best performances to date, picking up a fourth place finish in the Grand Prix Special. An inexperienced horse, 11-year-old Otto showed a drastic increase in maturity from the previous season.
