The show go’s on at Spruce Meadows with the “Continental”

The Spruce Meadows “Continental” Tournament got started on Wednesday at Spruce Meadows with the Scotia Bank Cup. There was an International entry of 57 in the event including most of the recently named riders for Canada’s Pan American Games Team.

A 17 horse jump off resulted in the following top 10 placings:

6- Lauren Hough Quick Study
7- Norman Dello Joio Glasgow

9- Richard Spooner Pako
10- Jonathan Asselin Rayana Chiara
Events this week include the $100,000 CN Performance Grand Prix. This is the second leg in the CN Precision Series and American rider Lauren Hough is in play for a $50,000 bonus should she win the event on Sunday.

The “Continental” Tournament will feature top athletes from around the world in exciting show jumping competitions in the Meadow’s on the Green, North American, All Alberta, Rocky Mountain and All Canada Rings. Admission and parking are free for the week.
