The third stage of the Global Champions started this afternoon with a national and two Invitational competitions. The National Jumping Competition was won by the rider Monegasque, Flavia Sillari. Prix de la Fédération Équestre de Monaco - CSI 5* 1.45m
42 riders started in this competition Tabel A against the clock, with a global dotation of 20.000€. 15 of them stayed clear, but finally it was Malin Baryard from Sweden who did the job in 58.14seconds. Her mare H&M Espri (SWE, Guinness) went half a second faster than the grey mare Arielle (HANN, Acord II) from the Whitaker – family, so William Whitaker ranked second.

The Belgian Gregory Wathelet, starting under the flag of Ukraine, was ranked on the third place. His 7-year-old Belgian Stallion Pikap (BWP, Kannan), did a great job in the arena of the ‘Monaco Harbour’, which is described by the World Champion Jos Lansink like:’ an indoor arena without roof!’

The Prix BitBurger - CSI 5* 1.50m was the last battle of this first day of competition.

Not only the global dotation of 25.000€ made it worth for the riders to do their very best, this Prix BitBurger was also a qualifier for the Grand Prix. 41 riders in the first round, 11 of them jumped a first clear round, in the Jump-Off 8 of them did a second clear round. So the Jump-Off time pointed the winner! The Italian rider Giuseppe Rolli rode his own horse, the Dutch gelding Kilian (KWPN, Topas) ‘full speed’ through the Jump-Off, the chrono stopped at 32.95. The Dutch rider Jeroen Dubbeldam and BMC Nassau, KWPN chestnut stallion out of Indoctro, needed a little bit more time. With 33.71 seconds he realised a second place. Famous Irish rider Jessica Kürten, a well-known face at the Jumping of Monte-Carlo, finished third with Castle Forbes Libertina.
