The show jumping entries are now in for 2007 and the competitions promise to be real firecrackers: All the tops Brits are taking on a huge array of jumping stars - one of the best ever seen in the Grand Hall.
It should be an occasion to remember. Amongst the home riders are five from the same family. Michael, John, Robert, Ellen and Williaml Whitaker will be competing alongside Nick Skelton, Tim Stockdale, Robert Smith, Mark Armstrong and William Funnell.
The strong international field includes 11 out of the top 20 international riders in the world today including the World’s No.1 Marcus Fuchs. Germany’s Christian Ahlmann, Marcus Ehning, Marco Kutscher and Lars Nieberg, Ireland’s Jessica Kurten, Holland’s Albert Zoer, America’s Beezie Madden – making a first appearance at the show - and Switzerland’s Beat Mandli will compete with the home team for the top honours.
