Gerco Schröder and Acapulco win Masters at Indoor Brabant

The Rabobank Masters, the closing competition on the first day of Indoor Brabant, was won by Gerco Schröder and Eurocommerce Acapulco (by Calido). After three rounds he beat compatriot Albert Zoer with Lincoln (by Faldo) in a jump-off. Germany’s Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Le Mans (by Leubus) finished in third. Marcus Ehning and For Germany (by For Pleasure), Jos Lansink with Al Kaheel Valentina van ‘t Heike (by Nabab de Reve) and Harrie Smolders with Riovanne (by Animo) had each three faults in the third round.

In other competitions, Austrian Thomas Frühmann, winner of the 1992 World Cup Final in Del Mar, won the Brabants Dagblad Prize with his BWP gelding Limited Edition (by Darco). Runners-up in this Table A, 1.40m competition were Germany’s Rene Tebbel and his seven-year-old mare Merry Christmas (by Kolibri). Sweden’s Malin Baryard-Johnsson and the SWB mare H&M Tamina (by Ramiro Z) finished in third. This competition had a starting field of 70 combinations of which 18 were allowed back in the winning round.
