AIKEN, SC —MARCH 23, 2007— Robbi Meisel, President of Flashpoint Media Services, the equestrian public relations firm, is pleased to announce that Tokaruk Show Stables LLC has signed for exclusive representation. Owned and operated by brothers Michael and Luke Tokaruk, TSS joins Flashpoint’s rapidly expanding client roster, which now includes Grand Prix Champion Sergio Campos (Longwood Equestrian Center), Grand Prix and Hunter Champion Daniel Geitner (DFG Stables), and event management The Classic Company, among many others. Tokaruk Show Stables is a top-quality showing, training, and sales facility based on 36 acres in the equestrian jewel of the south, Aiken, SC. Clients range from short stirrup to Grand Prix level. The stable was launched, says Michael Tokaruk “on a dream with a lot of hard work and planning. We’re very excited, and can’t wait to get started out on our own,” he adds.
One of the industry’s most promising stars, Michael Tokaruk, 25, is a native of Ontario, Canada, and has lived and worked in the United States for the last 10 years. As a junior, Tokaruk was a working student for numerous top hunter/jumper/equitation trainers, including Anne Kursinski and Missy Clarke. For the last four years he has been riding professionally for David Pellegrini’s Spring Mill Farm in Eads, TN. Among his many accolades, Tokaruk has garnered three Grand Prix wins aboard his 13-year-old Hosteiner gelding Lord Byron, most recently the $25,000 EMO Grand Prix of the Gulf Coast in Gulfport, MS. Luke, 22, is also an accomplished rider, trainer, and barn manager, who has also worked with Missy Clark and John Brennan at North Run Stables. While both brothers will be training students at all levels, Michael is looking forward to utilizing his vast experience in the hunter ring while Luke oversees the junior equitation riders and jumpers.
“We’re just so thrilled to have the Tokaruks as part of the Flashpoint Media family,” said Flashpoint’s Meisel. “We have known Michael for five years and have been following his career. We feel that he and Luke are two of the most significant new talents in the industry and we’re looking forward to promoting both the new show stable as well as their riding careers.”
“Robbi has been a big supporter of mine,” added Michael, “I appreciate her efforts on my behalf.”
