Brigitta Sueters Prix du Vainqueur for Britain’s Jane Davies

Valkenswaard, 26 August – The 1.35m Special Invitational Final, was convincingly won by Britain’s Jane Davies with her KWPN gelding Patrick (Indoctro x Notaris). She had the only clear round in the five-horse jump-off. Belgium’s Bart Soetaers and Lelie finished runners-up with four faults followed by compatriot Paul Vandenbosch and Marquise du Reverdy with five faults.

Jane Davies was also the overall winner of all three weekends. She will be awarded with the Brigitta Sueters Prix de Vainqueur, which means that Dutch master goldsmith Brigitta Sueters from Aalsmeer will design a piece of jewellery especially for her up to a value of 15,000 euros. Jane was very happy with the result of her horse as well as the idea of receiving a beautiful custom made jewel designed by Brigitta Sueters.

Earlier the Young Horses had their final for the Acorn Hill Farm Prix, a Table A competition with jump-off. In total nine combinations jumped clear in the first round and went on to the jump-off. Among them four Dutch riders and five KWPN horses. But it was a British/Dutch combination that won: Robert Smith and the seven-year-old KWPN stallion Talan (Concorde x Burggraaf). Runners-up were Marc Houtzager and another KWPN stallion, Tamino (Numero Uno x Farmer) followed by Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Quinara (Holstein, Quinar x Carthago). Best six-year-old was the KWPN mare Uceline in fourth and ridden by Willem Greve.
