Lauren Wentworth and Ever After Win Big in the North American League Children’s Hunter Finals

October 26, 2025

Harrisburg, PA - October 25, 2025 - Lauren Wentworth of Skaneateles, NY and Ever After took top honors in the $10,000 North American League (NAL) Children’s Hunter Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.

Lauren and Ever After, owned by Janet Jones, were ranked third after the first round of competition with an averaged score from the two judges of 84 points, and after another score of 84 in the second round, they finished the day with a total combined score of 168 points. Throughout the two rounds, the pair were in complete harmony and turned in consistent trips with excellent form, pace and manners, exhibiting all the qualities that are sought after in a hunter.

Free Wheeling with Helen Scott Milner aboard had to return to Atlanta, GA with second place. Their scores of 83 and 81 were just not high enough to catch the winner. Lauren, 15, a high school sophomore, is already a seasoned campaigner, winning ribbons at many horse shows. This is the first year that she has qualified for the NAL Finals. “He is really very smooth”, Lauren says of the bay gelding. “I have ridden him for six years and shown him for the last two. He’s great.”
