It might depend on how you put the stripes on. I got my stripe done in Atlanta with some sort of heating thing (you drop the hat off and they apply heat and do it for you) but there are also the stripes were you just buy them from a saddlery. BouldersBrook22, how did you originally put your stripe on?

I got the striping kit from dover, so you can peel them right off.

I got Jenny Oz to do an American Flag pattern on mine in rhinestones, it looks really cool... I tried to get my barn colors but they weren't available.

Really?? I love mine, but I never get to use it. It's too flashy.

I took my stripes off of my GPA because they were getting kinda boring. Now I kinda like the helmet better w/out them cause it has faded so much from being sunbleached. lol

Currently I have blue rhinestones around the edge of my GPA stripe, last year when I had a large pony they were pink and clear diamond shapes- and I must admit too flashy. When I know a judge is particular about helmets and the rhinestones I usually switch to my CO Hampton.
