Lizzy Chesson Promoted to USEF Director of Show Jumping High Performance Activities

Lexington, KY ­– The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce that Lizzy Chesson has been promoted to the position of Director of Show Jumping High Performance Activities. Chesson, 30, is deeply rooted in international equestrian sports. She groomed for her mother and was part of two World Championship Driving Teams in that capacity and in 1999 she was selected to drive a pair of horses in the World Pair Championship in Hungary. The 47th Geneva CSI-W got underway on Thursday

Michael Whitaker claims Prix du Léman while Markus Fuchs wins the Speed and Handy

In the first big class of the 47th Geneva CSI-W, the Prix du Léman, victory went to Englishman Michael Whitaker and Suncal Portofino 63 . He was followed by two French riders Julien Epaillard (Labrador de Brekka) and Michel Robert (Galet d’Auzay). In fourth position was the Christina Liebherr (SUI) riding Lilas de la Chaise. Beezie Madden will ride at Geneva, but Authentic is out of the Top Ten Competition

Although American Beezie Madden will be participating in the IJRC Top-10 Final presented by Rolex at Geneva, she will be unable to ride Authentic, winner of the Aachen Grand Prix 2007.

Authentic was not even presented to the veterinary inspection due to lameness. It is presumed to be a former hoof injury incurred prior to their coming to Geneva. It goes without saying, that given concerns for the wellbeing of her horse, Beezie Madden decided not to present Authentic. She does have other horses with her and will ride Judgement in the Top Ten Class.
