He was the fasted in the jump-off during the first leg of the Global Champions Tour, presented by CN and CN WorldWide. Lamaze’s Road to Beijing Goes Through Bobcats Arena

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, April 11, 2025 Eric Lamaze’s road to this year’s Olympic Games made a successful stop tonight at Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team. But this time, it was show jumping, not basketball being contested in the popular sports venue. Lamaze, of Schomberg, Ontario, and his intended Olympic mount, Hickstead, were winners of the $50,000 “Welcome Stake” at the three-day invitational tournament organized by Bobcats owner Bob Johnson.
