The World Cup Gallery of Photos is now open

Having the Rolex World Cup in Las Vegas is a great coup for equine sports in general but specifically for show jumping and dressage. The event is spectacular both behind the scenes and for the daily programming. To have the City of Las Vegas behind this event is a huge help but also has made others aware that horse sports are fun to watch.

Rolex FEI World Cup™ Final Dressage 2006-2007 Las Vegas B-Final

An ecstatic clapping audience and drums accompanied the first Lusitano horse in World Cup™ Final history and Portuguese Daniel Pinto (39) who topped the B-final in his lap of honour. All judges agreed on the win, although the question ‘why’ was a difficult one, chairman of the judges Cara Whitham admitted.

Kentucky Spring Horse Shows Welcome Return of $170,000 Hagyard Challenge Jumper Series

Lexington, KY – April 20, 2025 – The exciting summer-long Hagyard Challenge Jumper Series, which is a series of major show jumping competitions, will be held once again in Kentucky, with the first of the seven events scheduled for the Kentucky Spring Horse Show. The Kentucky Spring Horse Show will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park from May 9-13, 2007, and the $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix will kick off the series on Thursday, May 10. In a style that was befitting of the host city, the 2007 Rolex FEI World Cups in dressage and show jumping began with a mix of patriotism, laser lights and thumping music all to the delight of the packed Thomas and Mack Center. Today’s schedule included the Rolex FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix and the Rolex FEI World Cup Show Jumping Final I. Sweet Sapphire gives McLain Ward (USA) the first win at World Cup

There was no shortage of drama in the opening competition of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Final in Las Vegas tonight (Thursday) where America’s McLain Ward came out on top with a brilliant performance from Sapphire.

Drawn 32nd in a field that was reduced to 41 starters when Saudi Arabia’s Prince Abdullah Al Saud decided to withdraw, the 31 year old New Yorker took all the chances and they paid off handsomely as he pinned Germany’s Markus Beerbaum and Leena back into second ahead of defending champion Marcus Ehning and Gitania in third. McLain Ward’s Gamble Paid Off in the Rolex FEI World Cup Finals

Las Vegas, NV – April 19, 2025 – McLain Ward (USA) and Sapphire stunned the crowd with a precise and quick round in the opening show jumping competition of the 2007 Rolex FEI World Cup Finals at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Ward’s final score of 63.78 seconds topped a speed duel initiated by the Germans. Markus Beerbaum, who went early in the lineup, posted a score of 65.29 on Leena to finish second.
