WELLINGTON, Fla., Mar. 23-Canada filled the top two places in the CDI Grand Prix Musical Freestyle on Easter Sunday after 5 1/2 inches of torrential rain forced cancelation of a celebration under lights at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Hundreds of dressage fans who had bought tables and individual seats for the Saturday night celebration presented by www.lingh.nl took up the offer of an all-day dressage and jumping festival brunch. WELLINGTON, Fla. Mar. 20-Denmark’s Mikala Gundersen and the Horses Unlimited stallion Leonberg won the Intermediaire II Friday at the Zada WEF Dressage CDI 3*, the first competition for the pair. The pair scored 64.959 per cent, with Canada’s Jacqueline Brooks and Balmoral second with 61.626 per cent and Australia’s Jules Anderson and Narobi third with 57.886 per cent. Read more

First Dressage Competition in PBIEC’s International Arena
WELLINGTON, Fla. Mar. 20-When Ashley Holzer’s nine-year-old son, Harry, heard that the Canadian rider was seeking a berth in her third Olympics, he said, “You’d better give it your all, Mom. It may be your last chance.” Although she’s 44 years of age-definitely not “old” for Olympic equestrians but she admits to a nine-year-old it may seem that way-Holzer and her 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Pop Art gave it their all on Thursday in the Grand Prix at the Zada WEF Dressage CDI 3* at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising.
