Michael Whitaker wins Olympia’s Christmas Cracker

Britain’s Michael Whitaker threw his hat into the ring this afternoon for Sunday’s FEI World Cup Qualifier at Olympia by winning The Christmas Cracker. Whitaker riding Insultech Portofino was last to go and as Portofino passed the finish, the clock stopped on 36.64 sec, putting him in first position.

American Peter Wylde and Hurricane finish 6th in the Waverly Christmas Welcome Stakes

William Funnell combined with television’s interior designer Anna Ryder-Richardson to win £1700 for charity in the Celebrity Jumping class at the London International Horse Show. State Officials in Florida are investigating a possible outbreak of Equine Herpesvirus – type 1 (EHV-1) in the Wellington, Florida area.
