
Lexington, KY— As Day Two of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Pony Finals National Championships unfolded the first overall champion was named. One of the busiest hunter riders at the show, nine-year-old Victoria Colvin, won the Medium Green Pony Hunter Championship and the Overall Green Hunter Pony Grand Champion title with a total score of 1,059 aboard Scott Stewart’s Cortina. The inaugural Athlete’s Committee meeting was held on Wednesday 15 August at the FEI Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meeting was chaired by Lee Pearson (GBR) and attended by all the members of the Athlete’s Committee. The FEI President also briefly attended the meeting to welcome the members and discuss the principle which lies behind the creation of the first ever Athletes’ Committee at the heart of horsesport. The second of the 2007 FEI European Championship at Mannheim was certainly an exciting day. The first round of the Nations Cup in which took part all riders and horses who had participated in yesterday’s speed competition.
