HJN Still on Top and Now Better Than Ever
May 14, 2025
HJN now sits at the top of the Equestrian News Network. With more than 30,000 different monthly readers, we continue to lead the way in the consolidation and presentation of World Wide Equestrian News to the Show Jumping Community.
HJN’s conversion to its newest version of software is now complete. Although we originally anticipated some significant down time, good planning and execution kept it to a minimum.
You will notice a few changes from the old site, all of which were made to make your viewing more pleasurable. Everything now happens from the entrance page.
The Top left column of the site now contains feature stories from the United States, Europe, the Super League Competition and the Olympics. These “Feature Categories” will change throughout the year depending upon the current show circuit.
Going down the column, there is a featured video clip. The current clip is of the World Cup Final at Goteborg. Continuing down the column is More News. This is equivalent to the Page 2 News from the old site. Click on any Headline and the complete article is displayed in full page format rather than the old “pop-up window”. The full page format is easier to read.
Moving over to the middle column, we find the Headline News section. This was the information contained on the Front Page of the old site. Click on any Headline and the complete article is again displayed in full page format rather than the old pop-up window.
At the bottom of each article is a space for you to comment on the article itself. We encourage you to do so. You must however be a member of the site, which is free, in order to leave comments. You can join or login from the right hand column.
The right most columns, as in the old site, also allow you to view any of the sites Show Jumping Information as you want to see it: By Author; By Day; By Date; By Show. The column also contains links to Show Jumping Results from throughout the United States and Europe; Specific links to Horse Shows with web sites; Significant Rider and Horse Rankings; and, Rider Biographies. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, just enter the information you seek in the Search Box located at the upper right corner of the page and a “Site Only” search will be completed.
The top Navigation Bar provides information about HJN as well as how to contact us, a help section and links to the Photo Galleries. Notice that there are now two Galleries, one of which is an archive of old Photos. The other gallery contains current Photos.
From the right hand side of the Navigation Bar, you can select subscribe and join the HJN RSS feed and get complete Horse Show Information as it is posted at HJN. You can read more about RSS feeds by clicking on the link.
We encourage your feedback. If you would like something that you don’t currently see, ask for it. No guarantees, that it will be implemented but it will be considered.
For now just enjoy “Today’s Horse Show News Today” as we have been presenting it to you since World Cup 2000.
