US rider Laura Kraut turned in the best performance in the “Tamoil” prize, opening class of the second day of competition at San Patrignano’s CSI5*. The rider, currently 25th on the worldwide ranking list, rode her 7 year old Billy Bianca through two faultless rounds.
Second place went to Dutch rider Willem Greve, winner of yesterday’s young horse class on Uceline. He also rode through two rounds with no faults, but was a bit slower than Kraut by two tenths of a second.
Another Dutch rider, Mark Houtzager, rounded out the top three on Utopie.
A well known name in Italian equitation, Filippo Moyerson, was fourth on Nadiro di Capocentro, a Sella Italiana who is proving his worth against some of the best horses from around the world.
