This week, the riders of the Monroe, N.C.-based HUNTERS LANE FARM were in the limelight, beginning with budding junior rider Alise Oken, who bested a seasoned group of professionals—including Scott Hofstetter and Daniel Geitner—to captured the $25,000 Hunter Classic aboard the Oken-Don Stewart-owned mare Alisette. HITS is bringing the family fun back to Saugerties

Saugerties, New York (April 25, 2025) - The horse shows that bring $50 million to the surrounding area’s economy are coming back to town! Beginning on Wednesday, May 30 the HITS facility will open its gates for three consecutive weeks of Olympic-level equestrian competition. HITS will feature two Grand Prix classes each week: on Thursdays it’s a $25,000 purse sponsored by Ariat and on Sunday afternoons the stakes are higher as riders and horses vie for up to $75,000 in prize money. Action Set to Begin at Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Presented by Farnam

Lexington, KY April 25, 2025 - Some 45 horses are set to start the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Farnam, on Thursday, April 26, after passing this afternoon’s first veterinary inspection. The three-member ground jury decided after careful and lengthy deliberation not to pass one horse this afternoon, but that one horse was Ocotillo, the mount of Lexington-based Cathy Wieschhoff. Las Vegas – April 23 – The World Cup Team Hunter Challenge rematch was met in stride, literally, as riders negotiated some of the nation’s top horses around the Richard Jeffrey designed course at the Thomas & Mack arena on April 21, 2007. In the end it was the U.S. team of Louise Serio, John French, Peter Pletcher and Scott Stewart who won against European show jumping riders Rodrigo Pessoa, Michael Whitaker, Christian Ahlmann and Marcus Ehning. Switzerland’s Beat Mandli and Ideo du Thot Win 2007 Rolex FEI World Cup Title; McLain Ward and Sapphire Lead American Effort with 8th Place Tie

Las Vegas, Nevada—On the last day of the 2007 Rolex FEI World Cup for show jumping, it came down to a battle between the Germans and Swiss. In the end, it was a win for Beat Mandli and Ideo du Thot, the 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding after putting in two rounds where they downed only one rail to finish on a score of five World Cup points. Some 15 nations were represented in the show jumping World Cup and the roster of international sport stars left the crowds very happy with amazing rounds of show jumping and enough thrills and spills to satisfy the most ardent fan. Super Swiss Beat Mandli brings home the World Cup Title

There were even more surprises in store in the closing competition of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Finals this afternoon in Las Vegas where Switzerland’s Beat Mandli reigned supreme with Ideo du Thot.

In a class that seemed to be choreographed to produce maximum drama, Daniel Deusser rocketed up from overnight 14th to take second place while fellow-German Markus Beerbaum and Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat finished joint-third. (Read on…)
