Debbie Stephens Wins Farm & Ranch Magazine 1.45m Jump-off at 30th Annual I Love New York Horse Show

Lake Placid, NY—July 4, 2007—Debbie Stephens of Palmetto, FL rode All Star to victory in the $7,500 Farm & Ranch Magazine 1.45m Jump-off at the 30th annual I Love New York Horse Show. None of the 13 horses in the field was able to master the 15-jump first-round course at the North Elba Showgrounds. Four entries that were able to complete the course with only one rail down then competed in a jump-off to break the tie for first place. (Read on…)

Holger Wulschner wins followed by Jessica Kürten and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum

The National Coach, Kurt Gravemeier, was one of the first to congratulate him in the pouring rain: Holger Wulschner from Rostock won the WARSTEINER Prize, Prize of Europe, at the World Equestrian Games, CHIO Aachen 2007. He rode to victory with his Holstein horse Clausen with a clear round in 53.63 seconds. The Irish rider, Jessica Kürten, who lives in Germany took second place with Quibell (54.78), and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum from Thedinghausen secured third place with Le Mans (54.98). (Read on…)

Starting order for the Mercedes-Benz Nations’ Cup drawn

It will be one of the highlights of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2007: The Mercedes-Benz Nations’ Cup, part of the Samsung Super League series, which will be held for the first time on Thursday evening as a floodlit event. The British Chef d’Equipe, Derek Ricketts, took the rather unpopular starting order with humour: “Well, at least the ground will be still good then and perhaps we will get better weather than the subsequent riders.” (Read on…)

HOME TEAM GETS BEST OF DRAW IN AACHEN……

The rain may be still falling in Aachen this afternoon, but German eyes were smiling as the home team was drawn in the most favourable position for tomorrow’s leg of the 2007 Samsung Super League with FEI series.

Deputising for Chef d’Equipe Kurt Gravemeier, top German rider Markus Beerbaum was delighted when his country was drawn last to go of the eight nations but British Chef d’Equipe Derek Ricketts was less enthusiastic when his side was pulled out of the hat in No. 1 position. (Read on…)
