Bridgehampton, NY-August 31, 2007- Shane Sweetnam of County Cork, Ireland, prevailed in the $15,000 Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate Open Jumper Speed Derby at the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Friday morning, riding Victor III, owned by Spy Coast Farm. After 42 years of unchallenged reign and 21 European team titles for Germany, The Netherlands were crowned the 2007 European Dressage Champions on a total score of 222.083. Hans Peter Minderhoud / Exquis Nadine (70.458); Laurens Van Lieren / Hexagon’s Ollright (68.542 – drop score); Imke Schellekens-Bartels / Hunter Douglas Sunrise (74.167); and, of course, Anky Van Grunsven / Keltec Salinero (77.458 ) made history today. Lauren Hough Tunes in to Win in the bluhammock music Open Jumper Class at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY-August 30, 2007-Lauren Hough of Wellington, Florida captured her first win of the 32nd annual Hampton Classic Horse Show in the bluhammock music Open Jumper 1.45 meter Speed Class on Thursday. Hough, a member of the 2000 Olympic Show Jumping team, had two entries in the class, both owned by Laura Mateo, and the young 8-year-old Quick Study got the job done with a clean round in a time of 76.57 seconds. Ellen Schulten-Baumer (GER) riding Donatha 5 produced the high score of the day (71.667%) for Team Germany as competition got underway at La Mandria Italy. Hans Peter Minderhoud (NED) was the only other rider to score in the 70s, (70.458%), and as a result Team Netherlands is in second place after 2 competitors from each team.
