July 21, 2025

JULY 21, 2008—At week III of the Atlanta Summer meet, Kimberly Howard and her stunning gelding CR Galileo were the winners of the Pre Adult Hunter Classic. Led by trainer Robert Hunt of the Monroe, N.C.-based Hunters Lane Farm, Kim and “Leo,” as he known around the barn, were also a well-placed 5th in the NCE Pre Adult Equitation.

Meanwhile, Kim’s daughter Grace Howard, aboard her pony When in Rome, scored several top ribbons in the Large Pony Hunters, including a 1st place in the U/S class. The team was also 5th in the NCE Large Pony Hunter Equitation and 6th in the Large Pony Hunter Classic. Grace also piloted the Robert Hunt-owned Cosmopolitan to a 3rd place in the Childrens Pony Hunters.

Over in the jumper ring. The Howard-owned Casino Royale, ridden by Daniel Geitner, was 3rd in the Open Jumpers Level 6.

Also riding for Robert Hunt this week was Kathryn Eudy, who earned Reserve Champion honors in the Childrens Pony Hunters with the Hunt-owned Little Man Tate, and Missy Luczak, who earned several ribbons, including two 2nd places, in the Adult Amateur Hunters (36-45) with Calidara.

Going west, Michael and Luke Tokaruk, of the Aiken, S.C.-based Tokaruk Show Stables, were once again in the top ribbons at the Rocky Mountain Classic, week II of competition at the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, CO.

For the second consecutive week Michael earned the Tricolors in the Baby Green Hunters aboard the stable’s own Surreal and was also victorious in the YJC 7/8 division with Roger Rabbit.

Tokaruk Show Stable client Lindsay Strafuss and her horse Jet Set were Reserve Champions in both the Large Junior Hunters (16-17) and in the Modified Junior Hunters. And in Sunday’s Adult Jumper Classic Elizabeth Grimes piloted her own Roxanne to 5th place.

Also showing in Atlanta this week was Daniel Geitner of the Aiken, S.C.–based DFG Stables. Geitner was Reserve Champion in the 2nd year Green Hunter Division with the Lee Cesery-owned Cachet, and was also 6th and 10th in the $25.000 Juan Hernandez Memorial Grand Prix aboard Kyle Register’s Trading Places and Mrs. Charles Bostwick’s Sympa, respectively.

DFG client Tara Gail Bostwick, meanwhile, earned Reserve Champion honors in the Large Junior Hunters (16-17) aboard Libertas.
