December 14, 2025 (Cazenovia, NY): Auditing is free at the 2009 George Morris Horsemastership Training Session presented by Bates Saddles, January 5 – 9 at the South Grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Grand Prix Ring in Wellington, Florida.

An unparalleled learning opportunity for session participants and auditors alike, U.S. team riders Beezie Madden, McLain Ward, Laura Kraut, Anne Kursinski and Robert Dover will take turns presenting the clinics since U.S. Chef d’Equipe George Morris, the usual clinician, will be out of the country. The riders invited to participate are: Jessica Springsteen, Chelsea Moss, Victoria Birdsall, and Jacqueline Lubrano (all based on their Bates Equitation rankings); high-ranking West Coast riders Shelby Wakeman and Sophie Benjamin; USEF National Junior Jumper Individual Champion Taylor Land; and Matthew Metell, a “wild card” choice based on his performance.

The Training Session is presented by Bates Saddles and supported by the USEF, USHJA, USET Foundation and the following organizations: Equestrian Sports Productions, Practical Horseman, Purina Mills, The ASPCA, the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament, Cosequin ,

Expert instruction on, veterinary care, USEF drugs and medication rules, stable management and the equine digestive system, courtesy the likes of Dr. Tim Ober, Dr. Katie Young and Laurie Pitts. New this year, riders will be educated by the representatives from the ASPCA on responsible and humane horsemanship.

“Hearing from so many professionals from different areas of horsemanship sharing their experience and knowledge is such a great opportunity for these accomplished young riders who represent the future of our sport. I love being a part of it.” said Beezie Madden.
