The Farmers’ Museum - Benefit Horse Show - June 11, 2025

FEI World Cup Dressage Final in Amsterdam

Anky van Grunsven headed the field a full three per cent in command to win Thursday’s qualifying Grand Prix, the first stage of the 2006 FEI World Cup Final. The reigning champions were given a hushed atmosphere in Amsterdam’s Europahal for their test, many elements of which pleased van Grunsven. She said: “Keltec Salinero felt good. He was a little bit tense in his extended walk and for myself, the zig zag could have been better but he even stood for his last halt which was pretty spectacular!” (Read on…)

Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series - background

In 2005 an amazing new Grand Prix Show Jumping Tournament was launched in Canada – the Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series. It was an unparalleled success encompassing 7 member horse shows representing both Eastern and Western Divisions, culminating in a National Finals competition at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, Ontario. Colorado Horse Park Spring Two-Star Event Postponed

The Colorado Horse Park Two-Star Three-Day Event has been postponed. The event, usually held over the Memorial Day weekend holiday, typically draws several hundred horses and riders from beginner novice to Olympic medalists. Yet, even with its success, the volunteer Eventing Committee recommended postponement of the event in order to upgrade the footing, update the course and to find funding to make these improvements. Ideally, enough enhancements can be made to hold the Fall Horse Trials, which are currently scheduled for September 29-October 1, 2006. (Read on…)
