Women Out-Jump the Men in $75,000 Show Jumping World Cup Qualifier at Canadian Country Classic

Halton Hills, Ontario In one of the few sports where men and women compete equally, the women took control of today’s feature show jumping competition at the Canadian Country Classic at Halton Place. Only three of twenty-nine starters in the $75,000 Swisscan World Cup Qualifier were able to negotiate the first round course without knockdowns. Eliza Shuford’s Investment Pays Off Big with Win in $150,000 FTI Grand Prix To Conclude Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY-September 2, 2007-Eliza Shuford, 28, of Hickory, North Carolina and Larentino, owned by the Larentino Group, triumphed in the $150,000 FTI Grand Prix on Sunday in one of the most exiting Grand Prix classes in the history of the Hampton Classic Horse Show. Equestrian & Summer Festivals, Palgrave, Ontario, Canada

The Equestrian Festival (July 25 to 29, 2007) and Summer Festival (August 1 to 5, 2007) welcomed record-breaking entries and enthusiastic spectators. Owned and run by the Equestrian Management Group (E.M.G.), the North Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, Ontario sits on 500 acres. The park is host to top hunter-jumper shows, including World Cup Qualifiers and Team Selection Trials, as well as quarter horse, paint horse, dressage and other. Tracey Weinberg Wins with Style in the Calvin Klein Show Jumping Derby at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY-September 2, 2007- Tracey Weinberg of Lovettsville, VA, rode to victory in the $25,000 Calvin Klein Show Jumping Derby at the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Sunday morning, riding Linda Z, owned by Weinberg and the Weinberg Brokerage Group. Andrew Welles of Long Lake, Minnesota, finished second on Cadanio Z, owned by Peter Welles. Third went to Canadian rider Miranda Fischer riding Hot Wheels. (Read on…)

William Fox-Pitt takes this year’s title, his fourth Burghley win, with Philip Adkins Parkmore Ed. Di Boddy’s influential show jumping course with clear rounds at a premium produced one of the most nail-biting finishes ever. Anky Wins to the Sound of Music

Clearly, French songs agree well with Anky Van Grunsven (NED) and Keltec Salinero. With a result of 85.8% they are the winners of today’s Kür and, to the enthusiastic applause of what seemed to be the entire Orange kingdom, are crowned the 2007 FEI European Dressage Kür Champions. Addison Phillips Tastes Victory in the Wölffer Estate Equitation Championship at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY-September 1, 2007- Addison Phillips of New York, NY, took top honors in the Wölffer Estate Equitation Championship on Saturday at the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Cablevision’s Kids Day, presented by Monty Python’s Spamalot. After the gods of Dressage had somewhat overlooked Germany yesterday, today they turned a decidedly more benevolent eye. After their unforgettable ride and world title in Aachen last year, Isabell Werth and Satchmo 78 confirm that in Grand Prix Special, they are simply the best. With an outstanding result of 78.360%, they are crowned 2007 European Dressage Grand Prix Special Champions. This is the third European Grand Prix Special title for Isabell, who had won the first two with Gigolo in 1991 in Donaueschingen and in 1993 in Lipica with Gigolo. 1995 and 1997 also saw this uninterrupted reign with two more European Individual Dressage titles.
