Norman Dello Joio leads the way at the Fidelity Jumper Classic
September 5, 2025
Hampton Falls, New Hampshire - September 4, 2025 - Show Jumping action continued today at the 19th Annual Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic. As temperatures rose to close to 90 degrees at the Silver Oak Equestrian Center in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, so did the competition on the field.
In today’s featured class, Norman Dello Joio rode Cotton Candy for Cloverleaf Farm for the blue ribbon in the $1,000 Level 7 class sponsored by South Ridge Farm. Twenty-two riders went to the post which produced 7 clear rounds over the Linda Allen designed course. Allen also gave riders an option that integrated several of the natural derby style elements on the Coldwell Banker Previews Grand Prix Field. Marshal Field and Avid took first place in the D.G. Ventures Young Five Year Old Division; it was a great way for him to celebrate his birthday! Ki Juan Minors also made a special appearance to sing happy birthday to Marshal!
Several riders took the option in the Level Seven Class which included the bank jump and the grob in order to ride some of the possible derby obstacles that will be featured in the $15,000 Mohegan Sun Derby over the weekend. The upcoming class will be a highlight during the Arbella Insurance Group Family Day on Saturday, September 6, 2008.
Allen who hails from Fillmore, California mentioned in a press conference yesterday, that she is thrilled to have these elements on the field and is looking forward to designing a course that will meet several outcomes in the process. She hopes to challenge both horse and rider so the focus is first on safety; second on having fun and third on the opportunity to improve both horse and rider’s skill level.
The Jumper Classic is one of only 33 AGA sanctioned Grand Prix’s in the United States and the only and largest of it’s kind in New England. The new location at The Silver Oak Equestrian Center is proving to be an incredibly amicable home after relocating from the Myopia Schooling Fields earlier this year. This elite level competition caters exclusively to jumper riders offering a chance to compete for over $200,000 prize money, which includes the $15,000 Mohegan Sun Derby on Saturday, September 6th, and culminates with the $75,000 Fidelity Investments AGA Grand Prix and $15,000 Equine Insurance Services Speed Stake presented by Great American on Sunday, September 7th.
