Smokin’ Joe Does it Again! Fargis Wins $50,000 Mary Rena Murphy Grand Prix at Kentucky Spring Classic Horse Show

For the second Sunday in a row, Olympic Gold Medalist Joe Fargis and Edgar 12 raced to victory in grand prix competition at the Kentucky Horse Park. The duo’s win brought the two weeks of action at the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows to a close in stunning fashion. Once again, Mother Nature did not look kindly upon the staff, crew, horses, ponies, riders, owners, etc. attending the Caledon National (May 17-21, 2006). The fabulous facilities at the Caledon Equestrian Park north of Toronto were put to the test for the second week in a row.

Eye Remember Rio with Victoria Watters LeBlond riding was the winner of both the Non Pro & Amateur 3’ Go Round on Saturday, May 20, 2025 at the Legacy Cup, which is part of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows taking place in Lexington. Germany’s Marcus Ehning on Noltes Kuchengirl wins the Grand Prix of Aachen and takes home 76,000 Euros. Beezie Madden and Authentic are highest US finishers in 12th place

This is definitely Marcus Ehning’s year and take note that Noltes Kuchengirl a horse that was initially trained by Marcus brother Johannes could be the next German Super Star. The young Kuchengirl is only nine years old and Ehning has been riding her for a short six months. (Read on…)

Marcus Ehning’s For Pleasure Says Goodbye at Aachen

As was fitting, For Pleasure made his last farewell appearance in Aachen. He was one of the most successful show jumping horses in Germany.

According to Marcus Ehning, the German national anthem is For Pleasure’s favourite song, even if it was not played at the official farewell celebrations of the Hanoverian stallion. (Read on…)
