A ‘good feeling’ brought Championship results for a Quebec family at the 2007 Arabian Horse Show

Sussex, NB – “We had a good feeling about visiting Atlantic Canada – that it would be interesting,” said Monique Senechal of St-Epiphane, Quebec. She and her husband, Gaetan Anctil and their daughter Carole-Anne Anctil brought two Arabian horses to the 2007 Atlantic Canada Arabian Horse Association show June 9th and 10th held at the Princess Louise Park Show Centre in Sussex, NB. Team Canada Announced

Torchy Millar the Chef d’equipe to the Canadian show jumping team has announced the Canadian Team for the Pan American Games which will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in July. The following riders were named to team Canada in its bid to earn a spot at the 2008 Olympics. Selected, based on points, were Mac Cone, Karen Cudmore and Jill Henselwood. Selected subjectively by Chef D’equipe Torchy Millar were, Ian Millar and Eric Lamaze. John Pearce was named as the alternate.

Ian Millar Gets Double Chance at Pan American Team

CALGARY, ALBERTA - June 10, 2025 - While in Sunday morning’s news, some were ready to write legendary show jumper Ian Millar off, as a member of Canada’s Pan American Games team, he has actually earned two nominations from the selection committee. On Saturday at Spruce Medows, Lauren Hough (USA) won the CN Reliability Grand Prix

Eight (8) riders rode clear in the CN Reliability Grand Prix all vying for the first stake in the CN Precision Series. Lauren Hough (USA) won that honour and it was her second win in the International Ring in as many days.

The CN Reliability was the last opportunity for Canadians to make a case for a spot on the Pan American Team. There were definitely some surprises as Captain Canada Ian Millar didn’t automatically qualify. (Read on…)
