Margie Engle Masters World Equestrian Games Trials with One-Two Finish

Today’s fourth and fifth classes of the World Equestrian Games (WEG) Selection Trials concluded a week of grueling competition at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida. After five intense rounds in the Internationale Arena over courses designed by Leopoldo Palacios-Jugo of Venezuela, Margie Engle of Wellington, Florida successfully paved her road to the World Equestrian Games. Engle Hits a Double, Placing First and Second on Her Two Horses Overall after Trial #4 and Trial #5 of the World Equestrian Games Selection Trials in Wellington, FL

Garson Wins Trial #4, Kraut and Prince Tie for First in Trial #5

At the completion of the World Equestrian Games Selection Trials, the gutsy Margie Engle owns the top two spots based on the placings after five trials, despite only placing fourth and fifth in Trial #4 and fourth in Trial #5. Engle placed first overall after all five trials on Quervo Gold with only 11 faults and second overall on Hidden Creek’s Wapino with only 17 faults. Two of the ten total possible spots were wild cards that already belong to Beezie Madden on Authentic and McLain Ward on Sapphire. Up to two more wild cards will be chosen this weekend. (Read on…)

Brianne Goutal Finishes First and Third in $20,000 1.50m Classic at Winter Equestrian Festival in Tampa

New York City’s Brianne Goutal and her mount Onira edged out Alison Firestone and La Supra by 8/10ths of a second to take the top prize in the $20,000 1.50m Classic at the 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival in Tampa, Florida. The Tampa Bay Classic, the eighth week of competition at WEF, is being held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center on the Florida State Fairgrounds. (Read on…)

Gerco Schroeder and Eurocommerce Milano took Friday evenings Wordlcup Qualifier at s’Hertogenbosch

In Friday’s World Cup Qualification from ’sHertogenbosch, Gerco Schroder and Eurocommerce Milano lead the way. In Saturday’s World Cup Dressage competition, it was Andy Van Grunsven and Keltec Salinero who took the title, followed by Edward Gal and Isabell Werth.
