Pearce Brings Champagne for $30,000 Ariat Grand Prix Win at Indio

The Canadians enjoyed a break from the sub-zero northern temperatures as they heated up the competition during the summer-like January afternoon at HITS Desert Horse Park. John Pearce, of Stouffville, Ontario, popped the cork and took a victory lap aboard his long-time mount, Champagne, after winning the season’s opening $30,000 Ariat Grand Prix Championship. Read more
Coumans and Kerins Share the Spotlight in First Acorn Hill Speed Challenge at the 2006 Winter Equestrian Fesitval

One hundred competitors turned out for the first of nine events in the Acorn Hill 1.40m Speed Challenge Series offered each week at the Winter Equestrian Festival. Because of the massive turnout, the class was divided into two sections. Holland’s Gabrielle Coumans on Okido topped section one, while Darragh Kerins led the victory gallop in the second section. USET Foundation Awards $1.9 Million For High Performance Programs in 2005
