Neil Ishoy and Lone Star, a Cealy Tetley PhotoBlainville, Quebec — Neil Ishoy of Binbrook, ON, scored a convincing victory in the Intermediaire I at the CDI3*-W Blainville Dressage International taking place June 27-30 at the Blainville Equestrian Park, located north of Montreal, QC. A total of 20 horses came down centerline in front of the panel of five international judges, but none were as impressive as Ishoy and Lone Star, his eight-year-old Hannoverian gelding sired by the well-known thoroughbred stallion, Laurie’s Crusador xx. Minikus, one of the four riders chosen to represent the U.S. in show jumping in the Pan American Games at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil later this summer, was one of 10 entries to qualify for a tiebreaking jump-off by riding without penalty over the 16-jump first-round course at the North Elba Showgrounds.
