Martín Dopazo (riding El Capricho Adela Lina) finished first at the Speed Derby, Telecom/Personal prize. The rider, who repeated the same outstanding performance of his 2006 first place finish, ended his round in a time of 1m 43s 94/100. American Hillary Dobbs, aboard Corlett was second in a time of 1m 47s 06/100, followed by teammate Charlie Jayne who, riding Thomas Edison, finished third in 1m 49s 75/100 over the 18 obstacle and 20 effort course. State Officials in Florida are investigating a possible outbreak of Equine Herpesvirus – type 1 (EHV-1) in the Wellington, Florida area.
