Memorial Day Classic Equitation Challenge

Burbank, CA: Professional rider, Laura Van Meter led her Team L.T.A. to victory in the Memorial Day Classic Equitation Challenge. The last line of the course called for a hand gallop to the final fence and Van Meter put on the gas to reach a perfect spot, eliciting wild cheers from the crowd and her team mates, junior rider Theo Boris and amateur rider Amy Brubaker. Marshall & Sterling Midwest Final winner is Brooke Kennedy on Peter Pan

Marshall & Sterling Finals were held in several rings over the course of the first week of fall High Prairie Farms Horse Shows. And Colorado’s Elizabeth Savoy competed in just about every one. Riding her Caruso, Savoy won the Marshall & Sterling Midwest Jumper Final after finishing the week as champion in the Children’s Jumpers and reserve champion in the $1,500 Marshall & Sterling Jumper Classic. She also was reserve champion in the Marshall & Sterling Children’s Medal Final and third in the Marshall & Sterling Midwest Hunter Classic riding Serenity Farms’ Q. Read more

In fact for amateur rider Armando Hassey, the conditions were just fine. Coming off a big week during the Circuit Preview, Hassey bested a field of top professionals to win the first of three Grand Prix competitions to be held during this year’s summer circuit at the Colorado Horse Park.
