Whitney Petersen & Prosecco 24 Win Final National Children’s Medal at WEF

WELLINGTON, Fla., Apr. 4-Whitney Petersen and Prosecco 24 won the final National Children’s Medal of the CN Winter Equestrian presented by Zimmerman Advertising at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Friday. Of the four riders called back to test, Petersen held her first place position to the end. The test consisted of trotting fence 6, canter 4 and 5 (a two stride), hand gallop fence 7, halt, sit trot to the gate, and walk out. Read more

Amber Henter Demonstrated Her Expertise During The Tampa Equestrian Festival

Tampa, FL - April 4, 2025 - Amber Henter and Atlantic D were victorious in both the ASPCA Maclay Horsemanship and the Pessoa USEF Hunt Seat Medal classes putting them well on their way towards qualifying for the Finals held at the end of the year. These classes were contested in the covered jumper ring this week as opposed to the main hunter ring where they have been for the past two weeks. Traverse City, MI - April 4, 2025 - The 2008 Horse Shows by the Bay is a three week equestrian festival held from July 16 to August 3. The festival is “AA” rated, World Champion Hunter Rider sanctioned, and hosts a $25,000 grand prix each week. Horse Shows by the Bay hosts 1,200 horses and offers more than $360,000 in prize money. The 1.40m Jumper Classic Victory Goes to Will Simpson and El Campeon’s Tosca at Tampa Equestrian Festival

Tampa, FL - April 4, 2025 - Today’s highlight jumper class at the Tournament of Champions, the final week of the Tampa Equestrian Festival, was held first thing this morning under the covered arena. As the times in the jump-off got faster and faster, it was Will Simpson of Thousand Oaks, CA, on El Campeon’s Tosca that came away with victory in the 1.40m Jumper Classic. Simpson bested a field of nine horses and riders in the jump-off. They were 11th to go in the first round and returned sixth in the jump-off. They were chasing the leading time with a clear round of 32.463 seconds set by McLain Ward on Quo Vadis. Read more

Conyers, GA. — One of Aiken, SC’s newest arrivals Angel Karolyi scored a triumph in yesterday afternoon’s Lucky Sevens Welcome Stake with partner Galant the 16 year-old Selle Francis gelding owned by McLain Ward. San Marcos, CA resident Rob Gage has taken up the reins of designer for the jumpers during this final week of spring competition. “I’m hoping to get at least half the field clear today.” Gage commented prior to the start of the 10 obstacle, 12-effort challenge he’d planned for the 18 horse-rider teams.
