The Colorado Horse Park Announces Two New Staff Appointments

Parker, CO— Two new staff members recently joined the Colorado Horse Park team. Renowned author Frank Holmes is the new Director of Museum Development. Lori Mellon will be focusing on fundraising and grant writing as the Director of Development. Both Holmes and Mellon join the non-profit with the goal of moving the Park towards its long-range vision of bringing the history and heritage of the West to life through interactive museums and displays. The trip to Maui came down to the last horse show of the season at the Colorado Horse Park – the High Prairie Fall Classic – before the winner of the Langer Equestrian Group’s Colorado Trainer Incentive Program was decided. With the rain of the previous week all but a distant memory, typical Colorado summer weather prevailed during the third week of the Colorado Summer Circuit (July 12-16) at the Colorado Horse Park. Armando Hassey prevailed once again in the Grand Prix ring, this time aboard his La Roche, when he captured the $40,000 Rocky Mountain Grand Prix. Hassey, an amateur rider from Mexico City is just win away from taking home the $25,000 bonus awarded to the rider who can win two of the grand prix events on the same horse during the Colorado Summer Circuit. ARMANDO HASSEY POSTS A GRAND PRIX WIN TO HIS SUCCESSFUL COLORADO SUMMER CIRCUIT

Parker, Colorado. Rain and uncommonly cool weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of the competitors at the Colorado Circuit Opener held at the Colorado Horse Park July 5-9. In fact for amateur rider Armando Hassey, the conditions were just fine. Coming off a big week during the Circuit Preview, Hassey bested a field of top professionals to win the first of three Grand Prix competitions to be held during this year’s summer circuit at the Colorado Horse Park.
