The Belgian team came out on top in the first leg of the 2008 Samsung Super League with FEI series in La Baule, France this afternoon. This was a tough start to the season, with fortunes fluctuating as the competition progressed, but it was Ludo Philippaerts double-clear, one of the just two on the day, that sealed the result for the team which only returned to the elite level of nations’ cup show jumping last season after relegation in 2005. US Team off to Slow Start in Super League Competition

The US Team got off to a slow start in the first leg of the 2007 Samsung Super League in La Baule, France but with seven competitions remaining, it remains anybody’s game. The US Squad put in impressive performances on Thursday however, Todd Minikus won the Prix Ministère de l’Agriculture, a power and speed class, with Pavoratti by almost two seconds. Beezie Madden (Authentic) and Laura Kraut (Miss Independent) also jumped double clean in the class. Read more

This weekend the curtain rises on the 2007 Samsung Super League with FEI series in the lovely town of La Baule, France which is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Located in the Pays de la Loire, La Baule has been attracting holiday-makers and tourists in large numbers ever since the Nantes-Guérande railway line was built in 1879 and owes a great deal to the two businessmen Benoit and Berthault who transformed what was originally the tiny village of Escoublac into an attractive seaside resort.
