Laura Kraut and Anthem Take Huge Paycheck with $500,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte, CSI 5* Victory

Charlotte, NC - April 13, 2025 - In some of the most exciting show jumping action that the United States has seen, it was Laura Kraut of Wellington, FL, and Anthem who stayed clear through three rounds to win the $500,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte, CSI 5* for the Charlotte Bobcats Cup. Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa and Rufus finished second, while Chris Kappler of New Jersey was third on VDL Oranta. Ben Maher of Great Britain with Rolette rounded out the group that competed in the jump-off and finished in fourth place. Read more

Lamaze’s Road to Beijing Goes Through Bobcats Arena

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, April 11, 2025 Eric Lamaze’s road to this year’s Olympic Games made a successful stop tonight at Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team. But this time, it was show jumping, not basketball being contested in the popular sports venue. Lauren Sturges from Indiana delivered the maximum 65 points and a time of 40.74 to win the thrilling $10,000 Amateur-Owner Junior Accumulator Competition Saturday evening at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
