Britain’s Tina Fletcher wins the Queen Elizabeth II Cup

Molly Ashe-Cawley falls short in her bid for her third QE II Cup but finishes second on Lutopia

Tina Fletcher is a heroine in Great Britain today as she returned the Queen Elizabeth II to England at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead on Sunday. American Molly Ashe-Cawley who has won the cup twice in the last three years was tied for the lead aboard Lutopia as four riders managed to go clear in Round 1. Read more

AMERICAN GIRLS POWER HOME AS BRITISH SNATCH DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY…..

The all-girl American team produced a crisp, clean victory at the sixth leg of the Samsung Super League with FEI series at Hickstead, England today where the much-fancied home squad lost out in the closing stages. Ahead at the half-way stage, the British lost their grip as the second round progressed, but three second-round clears saw the USA rise from third to pole position, and this moves them off the bottom of the leaderboard going into the penultimate round in Dublin in two weeks’ time. USA wins Hickstead Super League Competition

Laura Kraut, Molly Ashe-Cawley and Beezie Madden go clear in Round 2 to taste victory

A win was needed to get the USA out of the cellar and Chef d’Equipe Mellanie Smith-Taylor who is filling in for George Morris gave the all female team just the incentive they needed to respond to the challenge. Four good rounds with each rider having 4 faults left the USA sitting in a tie with the Netherland for second place after Round 1 and 7 faults behind Great Britain.

The USA has been drawn first to go in tomorrow’s sixth leg of the Samsung Super League with FEI series at Hickstead, England but Melanie Smith-Taylor, who is deputising in the absence of team manager George Morris, is not concerned. Lying last on the leaderboard the US really needs a good result in order to climb out of the relegation zone, but Melanie has every faith in her squad. Read more

Beezie Madden is 10th on Integrity

With a clear round in the jump off, Molly Ashe-Cawley aboard Cocu claimed victory with a time of 41.57 seconds in the Irish Horse Board International Chase. Sweden’s Peter Eriksson riding Jaguar Mail was also clear and just 0.41 seconds behind. Third place also went to Sweden’s Loota Schultz who on Calibra II was clear in 42.21 seconds. Read more

US Show Jumping Squad Changes for Hickstead and Dublin CSIOs

Lexington, KY – The USEF announces that the following riders have been named to represent the US at two major European horse shows Hickstead in England (July 25-29) and Dublin in Ireland (August 8-12).
