MAR 6, 2005-Harrodsburg, KY-Congratulations to Daniel Geitner of DFG Stables, who completed competition in the Ocala Masters this week, with what may have been his most successful week yet. Geitner secured Championship honors in the Modified Amateur Hunter Division aboard the Lee Cesery-owned Couveture, Reserve Champion in the Regular Working Hunters with Margaret Edge’s Remedy, and Reserve Champion in the Level 5 Jumpers with Safdie, owned by Kyle Register. He was also in the ribbons riding the Alison Hecht-owned Alico and the Ann Anastasio-owned Theodore. Geitner will now return to his home base of Aiken, S.C. for Aiken’s March Madness I and II. GULFPORT, MS.—MAR 5, 2007—Exhibitors at the Gulf Coast Winter Classics got a taste of true Southern Hospitality on Friday evening, courtesy of the good folks from Harrison County. Over 1200 pounds of crawfish (boiled right on the spot), 600 pounds of shrimp, 300 pounds of spiced chicken, another 300 pounds of fried catfish and barbeque ribs, along with 100 pounds of spaghetti, and more extras than a small army could consume. All topped off with live music that kept the toes tapping. The community welcomed riders back with a bounty of delicious local cuisine, festive music, and down home warmth. Read more
